The University was solemnly opened on 8th of February, 1918 (old style 26th of January), the day of remembrance of the Georgian King David the Builder. Since that, this day remains one of the most significant events in the history of the nation.

The Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU) is the main center of higher medical education in Georgia, with an almost hundred-year history. Actually, higher medical education in Georgia is of the same age as well. The Scholarship is for 50 Students that is who are coming first and register with us to study MBBS abroad in this academic year 2019-20.
